Carl Frampton –“I plan to steal the Vegas show”
Carl Frampton ‘The Jackal’ 26-2-0
Carl Frampton’s next fight?
Northern Irish Feather weight and super-bantaweight Champion, Carl Frampton, is due to step into the ring once again (Saturday 30th December) when he fights Tyler McCreary at 128lbs in Las Vegas.
“The fight against McCreary is at 128 because it gives me the chance to go up or down. If a title appears at featherweight I’m happy to step in, but I would like the chance to become Ireland’s first three-weight world champion and fight Jamel Herring.”
Frampton X 11 Degrees
Frampton has been a long-term ambassador of 11 Degrees as well as training partner Steven Ward (due to fight on December 14th in London). The collaboration has included fight wear, store events and his own merchandise range.
What does the future hold?
Should Carl win on Friday his sights look to have been set towards WBO super-featherweight champion Jamel Herring – with plans to bring home the belt in his home city, Belfast.
“It makes sense,” said Frampton of a world title fight against Herring. Although no contracts have been signed, the noise and speculation is beginning to get louder!
Must Win Fight?
There have been talks surrounding how events would unfold should Frampton lose in America this weekend. Although Carl has claimed it would not be as simple as to just quit, however, he has recognised a loss would probably delay his world title shot by five fights.
