Chris is a self-taught musician who's learnt the ins and outs of the business in the glare of the spotlight.

At the age of 32 Chris is already a veteran performer who started out at age 9 singing in the famous Lou and Simon show.

He has performed alongside the likes of Diamond Lil', Sir Howard Morrison and John Rowles and has toured extensively throughout the world showcasing his talents.
Chris sings in all genres from opera to pop.

He is a well-known performer at Sky City Casino crediting over 600 shows and his rich powerful voice is often heard on well-known television/radio advertisements and shows.

Along with his musical and entertainment ability Chris comfortably performs as MC for corporate events where he excels in the role as front man directing the night's activities and performing when required - a dynamic role which he fits like a glove.

In 2007 Chris, along with his comic partner Chet O’Connell, has been awarded the Variety Artist’s Club of New Zealand “Best Comical Act" – they recognise it too... that he has impeccable comedic timing.

If that wasn't enough, Chris has also been awarded the "Scroll of Honour' acknowledging his dedication and contribution to the New Zealand entertainment industry.

Chris has just finished working with Brendon Packard on the popular Lakeside Rotorua concert for 2009 in the position of Artistic Director.... essentially, it's his show to put together for over 30,000 people...and he blew them away!!

So it is easy to see that Chris Powley is a sought after entertainer with a gift for the extraordinary!
